VANTAGE HOMES 6th Annual STEPS AUTISM TREEHOUSE CHRISTMAS PARTY
STEPS Autism Treehouse had the festive fun flowing as they celebrated the Vantage Homes 6th Annual STEPS Autism Treehouse Christmas Party, the Sunshine Coast’s largest Christmas event for young people and families living with autism and disability at the Kawana Sports Precinct.
This year’s event was the biggest and best yet, with more than 750 people in attendance, up almost 50 per cent from last year, it was a very special day where families from all over south-east Qld living with disability enjoyed a fun-filled day in a supportive environment.
Santa arrived on his Harley, with gifts for all the kids, there were fun waterslides, amazing rides, crazy goop, animals, chill zones, loads of sports to try, and STEPS Nursery had kids’ activities and handy Christmas gift ideas.
Thanks to the support of the wonderful sponsors, Vantage Homes Qld, the Sunshine Coast Council, together with all event partners, STEPS united likeminded people to celebrate and highlight the importance of providing the only Christmas event for Coast families living with autism and disability.
A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY’S PERSPECTIVE
The Lee family take a minute to share their perspective of the challenging but also really wonderful world of living with autism, and the supports available through STEPS.
“All he really knows is love - he just loves everyone, he’s got the purest heart. He’s a little boy with autism, but he’s a little boy first,” Jim Lee- father.

STEPS Autism Treehouse: Vantage Homes Trek for Autism 2019
The Trek is vital to the work of STEPS Autism Treehouse. Not only does it raise awareness of Autism on the Sunshine Coast (as part of World Autism Awareness Month); it is our major fundraising event, empowering us to fulfil our core mission to support local families living with Autism. The Trek is also a very real demonstration of the Sunshine Coat’s love and support for families living with Autism. Here's some 2019 highlights ...
Learn to Ride Program
Every kid needs opportunities, confidence, to build resilience and make friends as well. Unitywater proudly supported STEPS Autism Treehouse through the Community Sponsorship Program. The Learn to Ride program helps teach kids with autism how to ride a bike.
Lyn and Maddie's Autism Story
Ahead of Autism Awareness Month we sat down with mum Lyn and asked her what the support of STEPS Autism Treehouse means to her.
